Polka Polka Polka!

It was time to Polka once again, like we did last summer. Polka Fest returned!

A good time was had by all despite the rain. Sure, we got a little damp waiting for our pierogies at the food trucks parked outside the big tent, but that was a minor thing. Adult beverages and tasty food, loud music, boisterous crowds, a strong presence by the Leelanau Sherriff's office (you never know when wackity wack jobs show up with guns these days), and always interesting Polish food-based clothing. We've done this several years in a show, and it's a fun end-of-summer reason to head to cedar and Polka the night away.

It would have been better had Gus Polinski, Polka king of the Midwest was there, but not all Polka Fests can be perfect. They were very big in Sheboygan, and would have been big in Cedar, too.
