Those North Peak Nachos

This isn't a food blog. I actually tried that once (Michigan Foodies) but frankly got bored with it - my last post was 2018 and I don't intend to start again. But every once in a while, I feel the need to call out a particularly good or memorable meal.

And worth a mention are the nachos at North Peak. Not an enormous serving - they are in the appetizer section - but very good, my favorite nachos in Traverse City. Lots of tender pulled pork and mostly melted cheddar cheese (another 30 seconds in the oven would have led to cheesy perfection), with pickled onions (don't judge) on salty, crispy chips. That white sauce is green chili sour cream - I had to look it up on the menu just now because it looks like chip dip and I know that couldn't be right.

Anyway, a very sold dish, something else on my list along with their excellent pizzas.

Downside: North Peak is one of those places that charges a 3% credit card fee.

So if you don't mind more fees after arriving at an expensive place to visit, North Peak has solid pizza (gluten free as well as normal) along with good nachos. It also has outdoor seating which is very nice for those three months where it's nice enough to do that.
